2025 Beach Badge Prices/Info

The Toms River Township beach badge is for Ortley Beach on the ocean and Shelter Cove on the bay. The badge does not include beaches in other towns such as Seaside Heights or Lavallette.

Badges can also be purchased at the Recreation Administration Office, the Toms River Senior Center on Garfield Avenue.

2025 Beach Badge Prices/Info

Seaside Heights Badges Fees: (Cash & Credit Card only)

• Daily fee – $13 (Ocean beaches)
• Weekly badge – $50 (Saturday through Friday of following week)
• Season badge – Pre-season rate is $55 on or before December 24th; and $65 if purchased December 25th up to and including May 15th. The regular rate of $75 is effective May 16th.
• Senior Citizen season badge – $15 for persons 65 years of age and older. Two badges are $25 if purchased at the same time. Both seniors must be present when purchasing the badges and both must show a valid county, state, or federal identification containing a date of birth such as a driver’s license, passport, or birth certificate.
• Children 11 years of age and under – free every day
• Active and retired military personnel and their dependents – free every day with the appropriate Common Access Card, Uniformed Services ID Card, DD Form 214, or Veterans Benefit ID Card issued by the VA.

2025 Beach Badge Prices/Info

People who rent a cottage are considered temporary members during their stay. They are permitted to use all facilities of the club.

The beach opens on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Please observe the following rules during your stay:

• People who rent a cottage MUST purchase a pack of 8 weekly beach badges for $175, and additional badges for $40 per badge.
• Beach badges are required for anyone 12 years and older. The beach opens Saturday, June 14, 2025.
• Weekly beach badges may be purchased at the Ocean Beach & Bay Club Office, located at the Barn at the bay beach, north end, 3305 Heron Lane, Lavallette, NJ during office hours. Summer office hours, from June 14 to September 1, are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 am to 12 noon. Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday 10 am to 1 pm.
• Daily Wristbands cost $20, and can only be purchased from the Badge Checkers at the beach walkways.
• Everyone is required to wear a beach badge when using any of the Club’s facilities, especially on the ocean and bay beaches.
• Adults and children participating in summer activities at the clubhouse must wear a beach badge.
• Borrowing of Member Annual Badges is prohibited.
• To order Weekly Beach Badges, please download the Beach Badge Application and submit to the office at info@oceanbeach3.org.
• For guests staying at the local Marina, who would like to purchase beach badges, please use the Marina Guest Beach Badge Application.

2025 Beach Badge Prices/Info

If you are renting in Dune Terrace in Ortley Beach, your tenant should have a note on Schlosser letterhead stating their name and
that they are renting there on the specified dates.

To obtain badges, tenants can go up the walkway to the beach entrance. Badges are $25 for a weekly or $100 for
6 weekly badges. CASH ONLY! They can be sold 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

You are allowed to eat and bring alcoholic beverages to the beach. There are 2 rules.
Rule #1 no glass ever on the beach, rule #2 no dogs ever on the beach.

Lifeguards are on duty 10-5 weekdays and 9-6 weekends.
